Maintaining this tradition, the Champagne House Comtes de Dampierre selects only wines from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards and only from two grape-varieties : Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
The Chardonnay grapes, very largely represented in the different cuvees are the specific signature of our range. The Pinot Noir grapes are reflecting our location in Bouzy, the heart of this grand cru area.
A blend of 65% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay from the renowned vineyards and Avize and Bouzy.
It has matured on the less for over 2 years to allow it to reach full maturity while maintaining freshness and expression.
This Champagne is served in 42 French embassies around the world, as well as luxury clubs and events.
An expressive style with fruity patisserie nose and a light touch of biscuit and smoky notes. Refined texture and pleasant mellowness.
Wine Spectator – 92 points
“A creamy Champagne, featuring graphite, honey, vanilla and candied citrus aromas and flavors. Light and airy, but has character, harmony and length. Drink now.”
Wine Enthusiast – 90 points
Named after the current owner of the Dampierre estate, this wine comes from the ripe Pinot Noir territory of Bouzy. It is ripe, full of apple and apricot flavors and with a generous richness. It is on the sweeter side of Brut, giving a soft, full aftertaste.
