Story

Story

A recent success story, Mirabeau was founded by an Anglo-German family moving to Provence in 2009, who set out to create a great Rosé while building a brand that people love. They have now quickly built a reputation as one of the best rosé winemakers in Provence, recognized by consumers and international critics. Approachable, the family has a strong digital and social media activity such as ‘The Wine Show’ on TV.

Tasting Notes

Tasting Notes

Pale peach colour with hints of bright apricot. A classical Côtes de Provence rosé, offering aromas of yellow peach, pear, freesias and strawberries. Layered and neat. Generous in the mouth, with a good citrus fruit dimension, yet round and harmonious. Moreish notes of cherry and raspberry make this a real crowdpleaser.

Classic will pair wonderfully with aromatic foods like aubergine lasagna, paella Valenciana or bruschettas with tapenade.

Decanter – 90 points. Part of Best Provence rosés for under £20/$30 (2019 Vintage)

An expressive nose of berry notes that, on the palate, transforms into succulent and juicy red cherries, raspberries and strawberries. The palate offers a light creaminess and silky texture with a round, crisp finish. Made from 60% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 15% Cinsault, it has complexity and drive, delivering great quality and value.

Wine Enthusiast – 87 points
Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault make a satisfying blend in this crisp wine. It has a spicy edge along with refreshing raspberry flavors. The wine is very ready to drink.

Robert Parker Wine Advocate – 87 points

Mirabeau’s 2020 Cotes de Provence Rose Classic is a blend of 65% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 10% Cinsault. As it has been since its inception, it’s a solid, well-made example of Provence rosé, with scents and flavors of mixed red berries, stone fruit and citrus. Medium-bodied and showing decent length on the finish, it’s a consistent, reliable option.
